Intelligent-Manufacturing-Solutions is seeking an Optical Mechanical Assembler for the 2nd shift to perform fabrications of optical components, including profiling, cutting, milling, grinding, beveling, blocking, polishing, edging, and testing with precision tools and metrology equipment.

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety and maintenance procedures, and, at higher levels, leading others in testing and assembly processes.

Formación

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in the assembly or related field.
• Working knowledge of IPC workmanship requirements.
• Experience with optical assemblies, such as products containing lenses, is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Experience using soldering equipment, including fine-pitch soldering and shielded cable assembly under magnification.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Knowledge of IPC-610 workmanship requirements.
• Understanding electrostatic discharge (ESD) procedures.
• Ability to follow visual work instructions and product specifications.
• Ability to select and correctly use precision hand tools, power tools, torque-controlled screwdrivers, and assembly fixtures in accordance with approved work instructions and specified fastening requirements.
• Optical handling: Handle lenses, mirrors, and filters using approved methods to prevent contamination and surface damage; optical handling and alignment are relevant assembler skills.
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
