Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a skilled assembler to build opto-mechanical assemblies in accordance with manufacturing docs. This 2nd shift role runs 03:00 PM–11:00 PM, with training on 1st shift for 8–12 weeks before transitioning.

You will use hand tools, measuring devices and test equipment, follow drawings and procedures, document actions, and maintain a safe, clean lab. Strong attention to detail and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of assembly experience.
• Ability to read complex assembly drawings and process instructions.
• Independent worker with strong attention to detail and good troubleshooting.
• Experience using standard hand tools (Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, torque wrenches).
• Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing.
• Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Build opto-mechanical assemblies by using assembly drawings and procedures.
• Use assembly and inspection tools such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators.
• Support optical alignment and testing of optical systems.
• Document actions by completing checklists.
• Maintain safe and clean work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Generate work order material kits using printed BOMs.
• Perform general lab maintenance as necessary.
