Job summary

Micro-LAM, Portage, MI, is seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician for 1st or 2nd shift to support our optics manufacturing team. The role focuses on precision, accuracy, and quality using advanced technologies.

You will operate machining equipment, inspect optical components, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to meet high standards. Candidates should have 2–3 years of hands-on machining experience, knowledge of basic tools, and strong problem-solving

Qualifications

2–3 years of hands-on machining operating experience in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of basic manufacturing tools and machinery.
Familiarity with ultra-precision diamond turning equipment a plus.
Problem-solving and analytical skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing exceptional quality work.
A Can-Do attitude.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Operate machining equipment.
Experience working on a manufacturing floor.
Perform visual inspection and measurement of optical components.
May collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure parts meet rigorous standards.
Document processes, maintain accurate production records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
