Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a dedicated Machinist to set up and operate conventional, specialty, and NC machines to fabricate metallic parts. You will study blueprints, select tools, and adjust machines to achieve precise dimensions and tolerances.

This role involves assembling parts, verifying alignment, and running trial setups to ensure accuracy. Applicants should have basic machinist training and be prepared to pass a required written test. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to pass a written test and complete machinist coursework.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional Machining centers and NC machines.
• Design and develop tolls, jigs, and fixtures for production.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Adjust controls to regulate speed, feed, and cutting parameters.
• Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications.
• Assemble parts and verify alignment and fit.
