Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run conventional and NC machines to fabricate metallic parts. You will interpret blueprints and tolerances, measure workpieces, and assemble finished components.

The role requires 1–3 months of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and training in machinist courses. The work environment is likely to be loud and physically demanding.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Completed machinist courses or equivalent training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and NC machines to fabricate metallic parts.
• Design, develop tolls, jigs, and fixtures used in production.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Measure and mark dimensions on workpiece to guides for machining.
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Assemble parts into complete assemblies and test performance.
