Job summary

SPX Technologies is recruiting a Machine Operator to set up and run conventional and NC machines, fabricating metallic parts for HVAC and related applications. You will interpret drawings, select tools and fixtures, and verify part quality against specifications.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and teamwork within a diverse manufacturing environment. Prior machinist training and reliability in performing precise tolerances are valued.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED and machinist coursework or equivalent training.
• Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 25 pounds; good vision and manual dexterity are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and NC machines.
• Study blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Select and secure fixtures, tools, and materials for machining operations.
• Monitor machine performance, adjust controls, and verify finished parts meet specifications.
• Assemble components, verify alignment, and test assemblies for functionality.
