Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat processing or a similar environment preferred.
• Ability to operate slicing, weighing, and packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards in food processing.
• Ability to lift heavy trays and stand for extended periods.
• Proficiency in using knives and trimming tools.
• Willingness to operate machinery such as vacuum sealers and x-ray machines.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tables and scales for meat processing operations
• Feed meat into slicers and other equipment with care and precision
• Grade meat products according to quality standards
• Weigh meat portions accurately
• Lift and handle trays of meat safely and efficiently
• Use knives to trim and prepare meat for packaging
• Operate vacuum packaging machines to seal meat into packages
• Use an x-ray machine for quality control and safety inspections
• Sweep and squeegee work areas to maintain cleanliness and sanitation
• Wash utensils, scales, and door handles to ensure a hygienic environment
• Operate dishwashers for cleaning utensils and equipment
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification for safe material handling
