Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Operator to safely formulate meats, gravies and additions according to the production schedule. You will follow batch sheets, weigh ingredients, record weights and lot numbers, and perform final QA checks with supervision to ensure quality standards.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, wearing PPE, and communicating clearly in English. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required for calculating ingredients and batch weights.
• Good communication and ability to read, write and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and report concerns promptly.

Responsibilities

• Follow the production schedule and call for batches from the meat room.
• Weigh all ingredients and record weights before batching.
• Record batch details, lot numbers and supplier information for each ingredient.
• Serve as a QA touchpoint with supervisor and report any anomalies (thick/ thin batches, color or odor issues).
• Adhere to batch sheets and document batching information (gravy weight, water temp, additives).
• Maintain sanitation during changes and follow rinse procedures for equipment.
• Support team goals and participate in team meetings and continuous improvement.
