Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a kitchen operator to support batch production in our facility. You will follow batch sheets, weigh ingredients accurately, record batch data and supplier information, and perform final QC checks with supervision.

The role requires reading and following instructions, basic math, and English literacy. You will work on-site with PPE and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow batch sheets.
• Must weigh ingredients accurately and record weights.
• Must understand safety policies and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow the schedule and call for batches from the meat room.
• Weigh all ingredients and record weight before batching.
• Record lot numbers and supplier for each ingredient used.
• Kitchen operator is a final QC check; notify QC and supervisor of issues (e.g., batch thick/thin, off color/odor).
• Record batching information on formula kitchen sheets: gravy weight, water level, water temp, final batch weight, fill temps, additives.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen during can size changeovers or as directed by Supervisor.
• Follow rinse procedures for the emulsifier and tanks 1, 2, & 3.
• Regulate dropping temperature per batch sheet or supervisor instructions.
