Job summary

Velo3D in Fremont, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join the team for on-site work with potential relocation to Livermore after 6–8 months. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, with occasional overtime and travel of 10–15% for installations across the U.S.

You will assemble critical components, test performance with metrology tools, and maintain detailed testing records while supporting production and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
• Experience with metrology equipment preferred.
• Proven record of accurate testing and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Assemble critical system components with precision.
• Test components for performance using metrology equipment.
• Monitor materials and parts for defects.
• Maintain organized testing records.
• Ensure sufficient subcomponents and materials in stock.
• Escalate problems and suggest improvements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing and shipping to deliver parts.
• Collaborate with print shop and engineering for system bring-up.
