Job summary

TECOMET in Marlton, NJ is seeking a Manual Machinist to perform diversified machining on stainless steel and other alloys. The role includes setting up and operating manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders, plus light finishing and documentation of processes.

Ideal candidates bring at least 3 years of machine shop experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and proficiency with inspection tools like calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years machine shop experience required, preferably in engineering environment using listed equipment.
• Proficient reading of blueprints, drawings, sketches, work orders, or written instructions.
• Able to read calipers, micrometer, optical comparator, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellent data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines (milling machines, lathes, drill press, surface grinder) per engineering drawings.
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Maintain on-time production by completing scheduled work.
• Inspect components and assemblies to ensure form, fit, function and critical dimensions.
• Document routings, inspections, and time entries; keep shop packets current.
• Assist in tooling development with engineering for fixtures and process sheets.
