Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years machine shop experience preferred, especially with the listed equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, sketches, work orders or written instructions.
• Ability to read calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, height gauges and other inspection tools as needed.
• Strong math skills for trades and measurements.
• Detail oriented and efficient; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machines (milling machines, lathes, drill press, surface grinder, etc.) according to engineering drawings.
• Rework parts per print with proper instructions.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
• Inspect components and assemblies for fit, form and function.
• Complete routing and inspection documentation; record ship times.
• Document time entries and maintain shop floor packets.
• Maintain material and hardware inventory; assist maintenance with machine repairs.
• Collaborate with engineering to develop fixtures and tooling sheets.
• Support other production areas as needed and respond to production needs on time.
