Job summary

TECOMET in Riverton, NJ is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to perform diversified machining on irregular shapes and alloys such as stainless steel. You will set up and operate manual mills, lathes, drills, and grinders; inspect finished parts and document results.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of machine shop experience, reads blueprints, and uses calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3 years of machine shop experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and work from instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
• Rework parts per print with written and verbal instructions.
• Inspect components to ensure form, fit and function meet specs.
• Document routings and inspection results, and enter time in the system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and assist in other production tasks.
