Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our precision manufacturing team. You'll follow production instructions, set up fixtures, and operate lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines to produce high-quality components.

In this role, you will inspect finished parts, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with supervisors to improve processes. The position offers a stable schedule and opportunities for growth within a global leader in mechanical power

Qualifications

• Reads English instructions and completes simple logs.
• Physically able to lift and move heavy items.
• Able to follow timekeeping and company policies.
• Stands for a full shift in a non-climate-controlled shop.
• Learn basic machining concepts and use measuring devices.
• Collaborates with supervisors to improve production.
• Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail for quality.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets, blueprints, or supervisor directions.
• Install machine fixtures and align dies, punches, blades, and fixtures.
• Set up and operate machines (lathes, mills, drills, presses, CNC) per specs.
• Inspect finished products and measure to ensure tolerances.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness: wear PPE and follow procedures.
• Perform other duties as needed.
