Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a diligent Machine Operator to run and monitor manufacturing equipment in our production facility in the United States. The role emphasizes adherence to safety policies and procedures to produce a superior, consistent product.

You will read specifications, adjust machines, monitor for defects, maintain quality, and assist with setup and housekeeping to ensure on-time delivery. The position offers a path for growth within a leading concrete and construction materials

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related experience.
• Basic understanding of electronics and PLCs.
• Reading and interpreting safety and operation manuals.
• Strong math and measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines.
• Make sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area.
