Job summary

Oldcastle APG in Maryland is seeking a skilled machine operator to join our manufacturing team. You will read specifications, adjust machines, and ensure product quality while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires mechanicaI aptitude, the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and experience with basic tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have machine operator experience and mechanical skills.
• High school diploma/equivalent or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction.
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product.
• Operate front end loader.
