Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a qualified Machine Operator to operate machinery per safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product in a fast-paced plant.

You will read job specs, set guides, monitor operations for defects, perform routine maintenance, and maintain a clean, organized area while helping teammates meet deadlines. The role requires reliability and basic math, with MS Office experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related trades experience.
• Ability to read safety rules and operating instructions.
• Self-starter who can work independently and follow procedures.
• Basic math and measurement skills; able to use basic test charts.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Read job specs to determine machine adjustments and material needs.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Review product quality and ensure it meets specs.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Operate front end loader as required.
• Contribute to safe, clean work area and follow procedures.
• Other duties as needed.
