Job summary

Oldcastle APG in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Production Operator to operate plant machinery and follow safety policies to produce quality concrete products. The role requires reading job specs, setting machine stops, monitoring quality, and maintaining equipment while supporting teammates to hit production goals.

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (or some related experience), be able to stand for long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, and accurately interpret safety and operation

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent; or 1 month related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and procedures manuals.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs; must be able to determine color.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Set stops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule, or templates
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance ensuring it meets quality requirements
• Perform routine machine maintenance
• Assist other operators to set up machines and complete tasks to meet deadlines
• Maintain a clean and orderly area and good housekeeping in assigned area
• Other duties as needed or assigned to support production goals
