Job summary

Oldcastle APG, part of CRH, is hiring for an Equipment and Machine Operator in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role focuses on operating machinery per safety policies to produce a superior product for building solutions.

Responsibilities include reading job specs, setting stops, observing machine operation for defects, performing routine maintenance, and assisting others to meet deadlines. A high school diploma or related experience is required, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long

Qualifications

• Read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Self-start and work independently.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Apply common sense to carry out instructions.
• Maintain high accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths using scales or templates.
• Observe machine operation to detect product defects or malfunctions.
• Review product for quality and consistency to meet requirements.
• Perform routine machine maintenance.
• Assist other operators to set up machines and meet deadlines.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
