Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Customer Product Repair Mechanic in Pasadena, TX to teardown, inspect, recondition, and assemble industrial equipment in a fast-paced Quick Response Center. You will handle pumps, actuators, and decoking hardware, ensuring precision fits and adherence to drawings.

Work involves using micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges, with cross-functional collaboration to meet milestones and safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years hands-on mechanical repair & assembly with industrial rotating equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints, cross-sections, and shop routers.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring or electromechanical assembly.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, recondition, and rebuild rotating equipment, pumps, and actuators per engineering drawings and routers.
• Document wear/failure modes, photography of parts, and complete inspection reports prior to quotation.
• Use precision instruments to verify fits, tolerances, and run-outs.
• Operate balancing equipment to balance rotating assemblies with high precision.
• Perform QA testing including low-pressure leak tests and high-pressure hydrostatic tests.
• Safely apply thermal fits and use LN2 for bearing installations.
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and rigging to move heavy assemblies.
• Finish and paint parts, install tagging, and prep machinery for shipment.
• Coordinate with production planners, service coordinators, and customers on repair milestones.
• Support 5S and safety initiatives; exercise Stop Work Authority when needed.
