Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. in Pasadena, TX seeks a Customer Product Repair Mechanic to teardown, inspect, recondition, and assemble critical equipment. You will work with pumps, actuators, and components in a precision Quick Response Center, ensuring uptime and reliability for energy and industrial customers.

You will set up and use precision tools, perform balance and pressure tests, and collaborate across teams to meet repair milestones while maintaining shop safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years in hands-on mechanical repair with rotating equipment, pumps, or machinery.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints, cross-sections, routers, and checklists.
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and documenting fits/clearances.
• Basic electrical wiring/ electromechanical assembly knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, recondition, and rebuild rotating equipment per drawings and routers.
• Document wear, photograph parts, and complete inspection reports before quotation.
• Use micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges to verify fits.
• Operate balancing equipment to balance assemblies.
• Perform QA tests including leak tests and hydrostatic tests.
• Safely use heat sources and nitrogen for bearings and sleeves.
• Operate cranes, hoists, rigging, and forklifts to move assemblies.
• Finish, paint, tag, and prep machinery for shipment to customers.
• Collaborate with planners, coordinators, engineers, and customers on repair milestones.
• Practice 5S and Stop Work Authority for safety.
