Job summary

Flowserve in Carson, CA seeks a Customer Product Repair Mechanic to disassemble, repair and assemble rotating equipment such as high-energy actuators, pumps and decoking gear. You will inspect components and document wear using micrometers, dial indicators and calipers, while keeping accurate DCI paperwork.

You will run balance machines, perform tests, and coordinate with service coordinators and customers. A toolbox of SAE hand tools is required, and overtime or weekend work may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret prints, shop drawings, assembly checklists and other written work instructions.
• Own set of personal SAE hand tools and measurement instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, etc.).
• HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow pre-job brief, policies, and checklists before DCI and assembly.
• Independently inspect, repair, and assemble components, ensuring documentation is complete.
• Document wear and condition of critical components in DCI and assembly forms.
• Operate balance machine to properly balance rotating components and assemblies.
• Perform low pressure air tests and high-pressure hydrostatic tests.
• Take pictures of DCI and assembly processes as instructed, and ensure components are cleaned for reuse.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, engineers, and customers as necessary.
