Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler in our Chambersburg, PA facility to assemble equipment per detailed work instructions. This role involves using power and manual tools to connect components and install accessories.

You will work with wires, hoses, hydraulics, and decals, and operate an overhead crane with a focus on safety and quality. 6S standards apply in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
