Job summary

Flowserve in Pasadena, TX is seeking a Pump Repair Technician to perform DCI on heavy industrial pumps and actuators. You will dismantle, inspect, clean, and rebuild components to OEM tolerances, using precision metrology and controlled assembly techniques.

You’ll work with engineers and machinists to define repair scopes, operate balancing and testing equipment, and safely handle heavy equipment in a fast-paced QRC environment, with opportunities for overtime and career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and repair specifications.
• Experience rebuilding and overhauling heavy industrial rotating equipment.
• Ability to perform high-precision measurements and document findings.
• Commitment to shop safety protocols and Stop Work Authority.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete mechanical overhauls and DCI on pumps and actuators.
• Use metrology tools to record critical fits and runouts.
• Apply thermal assembly techniques for shrink/interference fits.
• Operate balancing equipment and perform pressure tests to verify integrity.
• Collaborate with engineers and service coordinators to define repair scopes.
• Safely move heavy components with cranes and forklifts.
• Prepare equipment for shipment.
