Job summary

Ventura Foods is seeking an onsite production technician for the second shift to efficiently mix finished products while upholding top quality standards. You will follow established formulas and support production by keeping the line stocked with batches.

You will operate the Local Control Panel, monitor ingredient additions, document batches and assist QC with sampling. Strong reading, math and GMP knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or related experience in food processing.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and SOPs.
• Good math skills to verify ingredient quantities and batch additions.
• Knowledge of GMP and food safety practices.
• Ability to operate forklift, scales and LCP.

Responsibilities

• Prepare product per formulas and keep filing areas supplied with finished product.
• Set up deck for daily schedule; operate equipment to assist in processing formulas.
• Use LCP to control additions of ingredients and transfer batches to lines.
• Provide product samples to QC for testing and approval for packing.
• Document batch records, ingredients used and lot numbers.
• Clean lines with water at end of run; manage waste and maintain housekeeping.
• Perform other non-routine duties as assigned.
