Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saginaw, TX is seeking an hourly production operator to blend dry, wet and refrigerated ingredients into finished products that meet formula specifications, taste and appearance. This third-shift, onsite role requires strict adherence to batch sheets and GMPs.

You will work with spicers, QA and machine operators, record batch data, ensure correct case counts, and help with sanitation and handoffs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize surfaces and prepare for operation.
• Follow batch sheet without deviation; document any deviations.
• Monitor gauges, equipment and temperatures; record data and supply samples for QC.
• Read daily production schedule and complete paperwork; process orders and fill out work orders.
• Communicate with spicers, QA and machine operators.
• Ensure correct number of cases produced for each order.
• Manage rework per instructions; hand off at shift end and to sanitation.
• Follow all food safety policies, GMPs, FSMA and preventive controls.
