Job summary

JLG Industries, a global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and related equipment, is seeking a reliable assembler to follow detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. The role involves assembling components of varying sizes using mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

You will work in a manufacturing setting, with potential overtime and opportunities to cross-train across assembly areas. Safety, quality, and precise use of tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, on-site.
• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
