Med Direct in Lake Geneva, WI is seeking an EDM Machinist for the Tool Room to set up, program, operate, and maintain EDM equipment for precision tooling and dies. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read engineering drawings, and a commitment to high-quality work in a precision environment.

You will collaborate with Tool Room, Engineering, Quality, and Production to develop and maintain tooling that meets customer specs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience setting up and operating EDM equipment.
• Reading engineering drawings and GD&T with precision.
• Background in EDM tooling and fixture development.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM to make tooling components.
• Program EDM machines using controls and CAM software.
• Read blueprints and GD&T; select electrodes and parameters.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections with precision tools.
• Maintain machine offsets for dimensional accuracy and quality.
• Document setups, programs, tooling and inspection results.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues; perform preventive maintenance.
