The Tool Room Machinist will perform responsibilities with minimal instruction, designing, building, or modifying jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies for R & L Spring Company in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Assists other departments in design and repairs, and tests complex tools to ensure specifications are met.

Ideal candidates have experience with manual and CNC machining, blueprints, and CAD/CAM/EDM tools, plus precision measurement skills.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of machine practices and measuring techniques.
• Ability to produce drawings for machine tooling, test fixtures, and assembly jigs.
• Experience in manual and CNC machining using mills, lathes, surface grinders, etc.
• Familiar with CNC machine technology for tool making.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical data.

Responsabilidades

• Builds or repairs tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies using machining operations and measuring instruments.
• Reads and interprets blueprints or works from instructions.
• Plans setup and operation of machine shop tools considering materials, tolerances, and cutting tools.
• Shapren cutting tools.
• Supports process improvement through tooling and automation.
• Coordinates with leads and supervisors to solve problems.
• Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies.
• Sets up and tests tooling to ensure products meet specifications.
