Job summary

Medicoil in Lake Geneva, WI is seeking a skilled Tool Room Machinist for 1st shift to design, build, repair and modify tooling such as jigs, fixtures and dies that support our manufacturing operations.

You will read blueprints, set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders and EDM, inspect work with precision measuring tools, and contribute to tooling improvements while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Proven experience as a machinist or tool room machinist.
• Experience with manual and CNC machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, jigs, and gauges.
• CAD/CAM or EDM experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair, and modify tools, jigs, fixtures, and dies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM.
• Inspect finished work using precision measuring tools.
• Support production and assembly departments with tooling improvements.
• Assist with equipment repairs and R&D part fabrication.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
