Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring for a compressor technician role in the United States. The position involves assembling, rebuilding, and disassembling Frick and other compressors, dismantling with proper tools, and evaluating component wear. You will determine root causes of failures and reference blueprints while maintaining records and schedules.

Responsibilities

• New compressor assembly, rebuild disassembly, assembly of Frick and other manufactured compressors.
• Dismantle compressors with the proper tooling.
• Evaluate the condition of internal compressor components after dismantling.
• Using the proper measuring devices, check compressor components for wear and for improperly machined surfaces.
• Determine the root cause of the compressor failure, and report to supervisor.
• Follow sales orders and or blueprints with minimal direction from others.
• Maintain teardown reports, log books, P.M. schedules, time sheets and other related materials.
