Job summary

Bitzer Us Inc. in Flowery Branch, GA is seeking an assembler to assemble large compressor parts into fully built compressors on an in-plant production floor. The role requires strict safety and adherence to PPE, with a 6:00am–5:00pm schedule Monday through Thursday.

You will perform bearing pressing, stator pressing, mechanical assembly and wiring, inspect parts for quality, and support continuous process improvements with coworkers and management.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of manufacturing work environment and safety practices.
• Mechanical inclination and/or experience using air powered hand tools.
• Acute awareness of detail to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ability to read and recognize parts and part numbers and assemble them in correct orientation/sequence as instructed.

Responsibilities

• Follow all prescribed and standard SAFETY regulations including wearing PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S standards.
• Perform bearing pressing, stator pressing, mechanical assembly and wiring for in-process compressors.
• Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of equipment and workstations.
• Ensure use of only approved tools and processes during assembly operations.
• Inspect parts and workmanship to ensure quality of finished compressors.
• Engage with coworkers and management to continuously improve assembly processes.
• Perform assembly for sub-assemblies (pistons, shaft seals, etc.).
• Additional duties as assigned by management.
