Modern Machining Solutions Inc in Buffalo, NY is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for precision machined parts. You will translate engineering requirements into safe, efficient machining processes in collaboration with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams.

Responsibilities include creating and maintaining CNC programs from drawings, selecting tools, and verifying with CAD/CAM.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Proficiency in G-code and M-code.
• Experience with CAD/CAM and shop-floor troubleshooting.

Responsabilités

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings, solid models, and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select cutting tools, holders, workholding, speeds, feeds, and setup strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and verification methods to identify machining risks before release.
• Support first-piece proves, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments on the floor.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions; maintain revision control.
• Collaborate with quality to address dimensional issues and verify prints.
• Assist with fixture concepts and provide feedback on manufacturability.
