Job summary

Markent Personnel, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer in the Buffalo, NY area to develop and optimize programs for precision machined parts.

You will work closely with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality to translate engineering requirements into safe, efficient processes that meet tight tolerances and finish standards. The role involves creating and maintaining programs from drawings, selecting tools and speeds, and verifying programs with CAD/CAM tools.

Qualifications

Experience reading engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
Proficient in G-code and M-code.
Skilled with CAD/CAM tools and program verification.
Able to troubleshoot on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from drawings, solid models and requirements.
Develop machining sequences and select cutting tools, holders, workholding, speeds and setups.
Use CAD/CAM tools and simulation methods to verify machining before release.
Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, and on-floor adjustments.
Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, and operator instructions with revision control.
Collaborate with quality to ensure print conformance and dimensional accuracy.
Contribute to fixture concepts and manufacturability feedback.
