Job summary

You will translate engineering requirements into safe, efficient machining processes, collaborate with machinists, MEs, and QA to ensure dimensional and finish specifications are met.

The role emphasizes turning layouts into repeatable routines, selecting tools and strategies, verifying via CAD/CAM, and supporting setups, first-article trials, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T to machining processes.
• Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, tools, and workholding.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate with machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from drawings and requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select tools, holders, speeds, feeds, and setups.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and verification methods to identify machining risks.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and adjustments.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program docs, and operator instructions; manage revisions.
• Collaborate with quality to verify prints and address dimensional issues.
• Assist with fixture concepts and feedback on manufacturability.
