Job summary

Qualifications

• Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply GD&T to machining.
• Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate effectively with machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from drawings, solid models, and requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select tools, holders, workholding, speeds/feeds, and setup strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and simulation to identify machining risks before release.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments on the floor.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions; maintain revision control.
• Collaborate with quality to address dimensional issues and verify print compliance.
• Assist with fixture concepts and feedback on manufacturability and recurring issues.
