Job summary

The Gill Corporation -- Maryland is seeking a dedicated CNC Operator to perform precision machining and cutting on aerospace-grade honeycomb cores and composite materials. You will operate multi-axis CNC milling equipment and industrial saws to meet tight tolerances and engineering specifications.

The role requires setup, measurement, inspection, and coordination with engineering and maintenance to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

Two years CNC experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with three- and five-axis NC machining of metallic or composite products.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, planning sheets, sketches, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machining equipment and industrial saws to required dimensions and tolerances.
Set up machines by mounting and aligning workpieces, fixtures, and tooling; select appropriate cutting tools.
Read and interpret drawings to determine setup requirements and machining sequences.
Inspect finished parts for tolerance using calipers and micrometers.
Troubleshoot machining issues and coordinate with engineering and maintenance to resolve.
