Job summary

Honeycomb Company of America, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC programmer/technician to design and execute complex 5-axis tool paths for aerospace components.

You will analyze drawings, select tools, determine speeds and feeds, and collaborate with CAD modelers and CNC machinists to ensure parts meet tight tolerances. You will prepare layouts, create cutting sequences, and revise programs to fix errors, while supporting trial runs and producing clear setup instructions.

Qualifications

• AA or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school or related experience.
• Experience with aerospace materials is preferred.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and basic programming concepts in G and M codes.

Responsibilities

• Designs and carries out tool path operations for 5-axis machining of aerospace parts.
• Analyzes drawings and data to determine cuts, tools, speeds, and feeds.
• Determines reference points and sequences of cutting paths.
• Prepares geometric layouts to show reference points and cutting directions.
• Works with Engineering CAD modelers and CNC machinists to meet specs.
• Supports machinists on trial runs and writes instruction sheets.
• Compares printouts with program sheets and revises instructions as needed.
