Job summary

Exoben Inc. seeks a highly skilled Cell Architecture Engineer to design and optimize the internal structure of Exoben’s battery cells.

You will define how materials are arranged inside the cell, including layering, spacing and form factor, focusing on energy density, efficiency and manufacturability. You will work closely with electrochemical engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are high-performing, scalable and safe, requiring precision and strong technical understanding to align

Qualifications

  • Degree in Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Strong understanding of battery cell structures and materials.
  • Experience in design and development of battery components.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision.
  • Ability to connect design with performance outcomes.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design internal structures of battery cells for LithioX™ and SodioX™ platforms.
  • Define cell formats such as cylindrical, pouch or prismatic designs.
  • Optimize layout to improve energy density and performance.
  • Ensure designs support thermal stability and safety.
  • Collaborate with electrochemical teams to align materials with structure.
  • Work with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are scalable.
  • Support testing and validation of cell architecture.
  • Identify design improvements and implement solutions.
