Job summary

Exoben Inc. seeks a highly technical VP of Cell Engineering to lead battery cell development across LithioX and SodioX. You will design and improve core battery cells, directing teams in chemistry, materials and structure to achieve high performance and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
  • Master’s degree is an advantage; PhD preferred.
  • 12–15 years of experience in battery cell development or electrochemistry.
  • Strong understanding of lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery chemistry.
  • Experience taking cell designs from research to production.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly technical and execution-focused VP, Cell Engineering to lead Exoben’s battery cell development.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing and improving the core of our batteries. You will lead teams working on cell chemistry, materials and structure to ensure high performance and scalability.

You will work closely with research, systems integration and manufacturing teams to move cell designs from concept to production.

This role requires deep technical expertise and the ability to deliver results in real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead the design and development of battery cells across LithioX™ and SodioX™ platforms.

Oversee work on cathode, anode, electrolyte and separator materials.

Drive improvements in energy density, cycle life, safety and charging performance.

Qualifications

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage. A PhD is preferred.

You have 12 to 15 years of experience in battery cell development or electrochemistry.

Strong understanding of lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery chemistry.

Have experience taking cell designs from research to production.

You are detail-oriented and focused on performance and reliability.

You are a strong technical leader with clear communication skills.
