Job summary

Exoben Inc. seeks a highly technical VP of Cell Engineering to lead battery cell development across LithioX and SodioX. You will design and improve core battery cells, directing teams in chemistry, materials and structure to achieve high performance and scalability.

You will collaborate with research, systems integration and manufacturing to move designs from concept to production, delivering results in real-world applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field.
• Master’s degree is an advantage; PhD preferred.
• 12–15 years of experience in battery cell development or electrochemistry.
• Strong understanding of lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery chemistry.
• Experience taking cell designs from research to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of battery cells across LithioX and SodioX.
• Oversee cathode, anode, electrolyte and separator materials.
• Drive improvements in energy density, cycle life, safety and charging performance.
• Guide cell architecture design including form factors and internal structure.
• Work with research teams to bring new materials and chemistries into development.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure cell designs are scalable and cost-effective.
• Oversee testing and validation of cells under different conditions.
• Ensure all cell designs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify technical risks early and implement solutions.
• Support integration of cells into battery systems and final products.
• Build and lead a strong cell engineering team.
