Job summary

Eaton2019s IS AER FMC division in Jackson, MS is hiring an Assembly and Test Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 3:30 pm–12:00 am). This onsite role pays $23.04 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential and requires hands-on assembly, testing, and documentation to support rotating group pumps and motors.

Responsibilities include reading hydraulic schematics, operating test stands, using micrometers and calipers, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of mechanical assembly, disassembly, and troubleshooting in manufacturing, military, or aviation environments or an Associate degree.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build non-Marine & Defense sub-assemblies, rotating group, pumps, and motors requiring close tolerances.
• Complete quality and customer information on reports and documents.
• Troubleshoot and repair REO and failed test stand pumps and motors to full operational status.
• Set up and operate assembly department test stands; operate two stands if automated.
• Read test procedures to verify unit meets quality standards; record data on quality reports.
