Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders, using mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

You will assemble parts on JLG/Jerr-Dan products, install accessories, operate an overhead crane, and follow written instructions to meet quality standards. The role requires standing, lifting up to 35 lbs solo (60 lbs with a team), and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Overtime may be required including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, on-site.
• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
