Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation’s JLG division is seeking an assembler to safely assemble equipment using various mechanical and electrical tools. You will follow detailed instructions from supervisors, install accessorie components, and operate material handling equipment as needed.

The role requires 6+ months in manufacturing or general labor, with the ability to lift up to 35 lbs solo and 60 lbs with a team. Overtime, attendance, and safety compliance are essential in this production environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.
• Willingness to work overtime including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and reliable attendance on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics and blueprints.
• Lift and stack subassemblies up to 35 lbs solo (60 lbs with team).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following 6S standards.
