Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation seeks an assembly specialist to safely construct equipment by following detailed supervisor instructions. You will assemble parts and subassemblies for JLG/Jerr‑Dan products, using power tools and a variety of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

The role requires handling weights up to 35 lbs solo and 60 lbs with a team, working overtime as needed, and maintaining strict quality and safety standards in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Overtime availability required to meet production demands.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr‑Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
