Job summary

Summit Polymers is seeking a Production Operator/Associate to operate molding machines and assist in assembly of molded parts. Under supervision, you will perform routine tasks including loading parts, trimming with hand tools, and inspecting quality to meet standard guidelines.

The role requires following operator instructions, recording production data, and assisting with color/mold changes and setup for the next job as directed. A high school diploma or GED is required.

• Ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from limited options.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and follows Operator Instruction Sheet for part numbers, inspection procedures, packing, and special instructions.
• Retrieves, inspects, counts, weighs, packs, and labels parts as directed.
• Uses hand tools to trim, cut, and prepare parts per safety procedures.
• Operates molding machines and/or air tools to assemble or produce products; notifies supervisor of malfunctions or quality issues.
• Monitors and compares production quality to approved samples; accepts or rejects products accordingly.
• Performs routine clerical tasks recording and summarizing production data.
