Job summary

Aerotek in Grimes, IA is hiring an Assembler / Kitter for a contract-to-hire role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will kit components, operate wire cutting and processing equipment, and assist with mechanical and electrical assembly to ensure quality products are built efficiently. The position runs 6:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime possible on Friday. Benefits include medical, dental and vision, 401(k), life and disability insurance, and paid time

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of assembly experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience using hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
• Ability to operate basic production and assembly equipment, including wire cutting and processing machines.
• Read work orders and follow production schedules with attention to detail.
• Strong attention to quality, documentation, and accurate work records.

Responsibilities

• Gather and kit components required for assembly jobs according to work orders and production schedules.
• Operate wire cutting and wire processing equipment to prepare materials for production.
• Assemble components and subassemblies using hand and power tools following schematics and work instructions.
• Inspect parts and assemblies to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area while following safety guidelines.
