Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an experienced Assembler to perform complex mechanical assembly on a production line in Gilbert, AZ. You will work first shift in a modern, air‑conditioned facility, using hand tools and power tools, following prints and SOPs to ensure quality.

Role includes mentoring junior staff and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency, with overtime on Fridays as required.

Qualifications

• At least 25 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing roles.
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies.
• Proficiency with power tools and hand tools in a production environment.
• Experience following prints, schematics, and SOPs to complete tasks.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to train and mentor junior team members.
• Solid knowledge of quality control processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to lift/move up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex assembly tasks on the production line.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Follow prints and SOPs to assemble products to spec.
• Coach and train lower‑level assemblers on techniques and safety.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Review processes and suggest improvements to boost efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve design/manufacturing issues.
• Perform final quality inspections and testing.
• Maintain inventory and stock levels for assembly needs.
• Follow lean manufacturing guidelines and seek continuous improvement.
• Work toward deadlines with overtime on Fridays as needed.
