Job summary

Aerotek Hawarden, IA is seeking a machine builder/assembly technician to construct and troubleshoot high-speed automated assembly equipment. You’ll work from engineering blueprints, align machines, and support final setup in a contract role based in Hawarden, Iowa.

The position requires reading blueprints, automation/PLC experience, and 5+ years building automated equipment, with shifts on 1st or 2nd. Comprehensive benefits are provided, alongside weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Automation, mechanical, and electrical assembly experience.
• PLC troubleshooting and controls knowledge.
• Manual lathe/mill experience preferred.
• 5+ years building automated assembly equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and troubleshoot automated assembly machines and sub-assemblies.
• Debug new machines, processes, and control systems.
• Perform machine alignments and final equipment setup.
• Assist with the design and development of precision automation equipment.
