Job summary

Prairieland FS, Inc. seeks an Application Specialist to precisely and safely apply agricultural inputs. You will operate specialized equipment, follow agronomic plans, and ensure regulatory compliance while working outdoors across varied weather and field conditions.

Responsibilities include handling sprayers and spreaders, documenting applications, and coordinating with agronomists and customers. A CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements and pesticide licenses are required within six months.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agronomy training a plus.
• CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements within six months and clean driving record.
• All required federal/state pesticide licenses within six months.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Experience operating agricultural machinery, especially sprayers and spreaders.
• Knowledge of agronomy practices and crop protection products helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain custom application equipment (sprayers, spreaders).
• Apply products according to agronomic plans and guidelines.
• Conduct pre- and post-application inspections for safety and efficiency.
• Follow maps and instructions for precise placement and rates.
• Monitor weather/field variables to time applications.
• Maintain records of products used, rates, and areas treated.
• Coordinate with customers and team to schedule applications.
